The temporary Salesforce Administrator will interview members of the Art and Civic Engagement (ACE) team to identify and assess areas for improvement. This person will collaborate directly with team members in both the ACE and Technology departments on suggested changes and improvements, which will include working directly in Salesforce, and may also include setting up future work to be addressed by the Tech team. This person will create a work-plan designed to achieve described outcomes. 


  • Create documentation for processes within the Art and Civic Engagement department.
  • Revisit team processes on the whole for ongoing tech design and planning.
  • Take a renewed look at end-to-end relationship management within Salesforce as it pertains to artists.
  • Establish processes for request, user acceptance, and testing for the tools the Tech team generates for the Art and Civic Engagement department.
  • Release Management: track bug reports, feature requests, and ongoing system improvements
  • Receive and integrate updated information into the process tracking and management systems.
  • Set the table for future tech processes that are adequately outlined and set up for annual improvement cycles.
  • Improve data retrieval and increase the ability to isolate and report out on functional and analytical information that has utility for the department, for storytelling, and for future process improvements.
  • Create system by which information can be uniformly located within the Art Department management processes.


  • Documentation - Assists in the creation, publishing, and maintenance of process documentation related to their assigned duties
  • Knowledge sharing – Helps acculturate and educate junior staff in Burning Man culture and business processes
  • Training development - Collaborates with the education team to develop training materials
  • Learning – Pursues ongoing learning in their area of expertise, working to stay current on emergent knowledge, skills, and processes


  • Perform other duties as assigned.


  • Advanced Salesforce administration experience 
  • Experience writing technical documentation
  • 1 year project management and/or web production management experience
